Herbology School

In Herbology School, you study the different properties of natural plants and naturally-based supplements. With a certificate or a degree from an accredited Herbology School, you can start your career as an herbalist or a natural healer with a background in Herbology. Because there is currently no legal recognition in the United States for any Herbology School degree or certificate, most people who study in a Herbology School work as private consultants, visiting clients at their home. Another option is to work in a health food store as a herbalist.

Learn the Ancient Art of Healing in Herbology School

In Herbology School, you will take courses on Ayurvedic medicine, a Indian system of medical diagnosis based in herbal remedies that arose around 1500 BC. According to Ayurvedic medicine, each person belongs to a different body type which requires a certain set of herbs and medicines to accommodate their disposition. Although modern Herbology does not necessary adhere to strict Ayurvedic belief, the rich cultural and medicinal tradition in Ayurvedic healing have time-tested benefits that will serve the Herbalist well.

Chinese and Western Medicine are also studied in Herbology School. Additionally, you can study anatomy, physiology and pathology, and undergo hours of clinical studies where you will experience on hands-on work experience in your field. Knowledge of Herbology, although not officially recognized in the United States, is very useful for both homeopathic and traditional doctors. Going to Herbology School can enhance your knowledge of alternative methods of healing that have been passed down for thousands of years.
